As part of our exterior painting work, we will inspect windows and doors to determine their condition. We recommend replacing those that have rotted with new construction because it will add insulation to your home. Mad Hatter also has the expertise to install new doors which can bring a fresh, vibrant look to your home.
Fixing Rot Damage
Mad Hatter’s extensive knowledge of exterior paint has led us to be proficient in identifying rot damage to your home’s windows, exterior trim and siding. But we do more than just identify that damage. We fix it.
We will often replace exterior trim with AZEK PVC trim—a composite material that will never rot and looks the same, if not better, than wood when painted. With rotted siding, we have the expertise to replace white cedar shingles, clapboards and more.

Replacing Your Cape Cod Deck
In the summer, our decks are typically where we spend the majority of our time on Cape Cod. The heavy use of these outdoor areas, combined with their exposure to the elements, makes them susceptible to damage.
We have the capability to replace your wood deck with an entirely new one consisting of PVC decking, Trex decking, or Zuri decking—materials that have a similar look and feel to wood, but are better able to withstand the worst that New England’s weather can throw at it.
